Criminal Cases and Human Rights Issues

If you are in trouble with the police and do not know what to do or if you have received a Complaint (Summons) from the Procurator Fiscal’s Office, you should consult a solicitor without delay.  Sometimes when accused persons are sent Complaints by the Procurator Fiscal’s Office, they are encouraged to complete and return the paperwork direct to the Court.  We would advise that this should never be done without first consulting a solicitor as there are many important and technical issues which can arise from the documentation itself.

No one should have to stand alone in Courts, we have many years experience of every type of criminal case at High Court, Sheriff Court and District Court level.  We also handle Military Law (Court Martial) cases.  There is no case too small or too large for us to take on – many years experience in this area has established an excellent reputation.

With regard to the cost of legal representation, you may be eligible for criminal legal aid, advice and assistance or a free initial consultation if not eligible for legal aid.  If you have to pay a private fee for a case, this will be discussed beforehand and a fee structure agreed.  However, in most criminal cases, clients are usually eligible for some form of legal aid or another.
